More cool things in 0.5.0


G'day or night everybody! 
This will probably be the last post before the public release of version 0.5.0. I'll address some more interesting mechanical and story-wise changes in the upcoming update. 
(Apologies for such a long delay but personal life combined with being forced to learn many in-game things on the go complicated it a bit.)

Readability of the events 
The readability of what and when to do has been mentioned ever since the first version of Love Castaways. As a player myself, I dislike it when grinding or playing a guessing game is mandatory just for the sake of it. The first 0.5.0 post mentioned a world map that would not only speed up gameplay but also make it a bit more immersive and fun for the players. 
Now it's time for character-specific events and dorms. Players will be informed by "!" and heart symbols about their current progress and which character has new story content in the form of interactive screens instead of simple choice menus. 
Common events and replayable events were also reworked to increase the overall fun. 


Reworked locations
Few locations received a visual rework. This applies mostly to dorms and a few other places like a maid cafe! 
In this case, almost every section was changed in some way, to make the place look more realistic and cozy at the same time.

Of course even more improved events.
As stated before, not only will older events be reworked to match current quality but also completely new events will be added to make things feel less rushed and more polished(heh).

Bringing more life into Hakayama...
One of the probably cooler things that will be changed is more animations, including common events. This I leave for players to discover and decide whether or not it's a good change but hopefully, all common/replayable events will be animated. From simple blinking and breathing characters to more complex stuff making characters feel more alive. 

There'll be a lot of UI improvements, smaller fixes, script changes, etc. Stay tuned for new screenshots from the upcoming version.
